It's All About the Jeans
Heartbroken because your favorite pair of designer jeans is wearing out?
There's just nothing worse than having your absolute favorite, both comfortable and sexy, pair of jeans start to look the worse for wear. You may notice one day that those fabulous designer jeans are starting to look just the slightest bit worn and before you know it your friend/boyfriend/girlfriend/strangers on the street are pointing out the fact that your jeans seem to have a couple of holes in them. Hadn't you noticed?
Well, of course you knew there were holes, but they're your favorite jeans and they're not really that noticeable, right?
Except that those holes are getting bigger. So what's a jeans lover to do with those fabulous (but distinctly worn out) pair of designer jeans?
Question one: could you sew on a patch? Are the jeans more or less okay with the exception of a small hole? Does the style of your designer jeans allow for a small (or large!) patch? Or are they designed to be elegant and patch-free...?
In which case, question two: Would those designer jeans make a cute pair of cut-off jean shorts? It's again a matter of personal preference and the particular style of those jeans.
If neither patches nor cutting them off is a reasonable option for your super cute pair of (old) designer jeans, maybe you should content yourself with wearing them around the house only. It's not the best option, but at least it gives you an excuse and a way to wear your trusty favorite jeans.
And if you're into that kind of thing, perhaps you could wear those worn out, holey jeans with a pair of leggings underneath (thereby preserving your decency!).
If none of these options will be enough to resuscitate those fabulous designer jeans, it's important to accept this and move on. Use it as an excuse to surf the net to find your new favorite pair of jeans! The sooner you discard the old worn out pair of jeans, the sooner you can buy and wear in your next favorite pair.
